The original Genesis couldn't smoothly pitch bend like a modern MIDI keyboard. If you try to glissando a lead line on your portable setup, it will sound like a cheap Casio. Workaround: Use portamento (glide) sparingly, or set your pitch bend range to 2 semitones only.
