Drag the MIDI file "Bass_Reese_Groove_1.mid" onto a new track. Load a soft synth. Program the synth to have a short attack, long release, and low-pass filter sweep. Duplicate the MIDI and pitch it down an octave for a sub-layer. Subscribe to the newsletter for updates on OG Jungle Vol

Drag an RX2 file (e.g., "OG_Think_Roll_170bpm.rx2") into Ableton Simpler. Set the mode to "Slicing." Play your MIDI keyboard. You now have a custom beat chopper. Record a 4-bar loop of randomized slices.

Layer a single-shot snare from the "One Shots" folder over your RX2 loop. This "ghost snare" adds weight where the original break is weak. Add the "Tight Hi-Hat" WAV to give the top end clarity.

Add the included "Concrete Rooms" impulse response (IR) reverb to your send channel. Send your drums and bass to this reverb at 15% mix. This creates the illusion of a 1994 pirate radio studio.
