You cannot use Roland’s old PC editor. Instead, the community has released an open-source web-based editor (HTML/JavaScript) that connects via WebMIDI. You edit patches visually, then send the configuration as a single SysEx dump. fc3000 custom firmware updated
A: Marginally. The new hybrid logic uses 8% more CPU cycles. Use a 9V power supply (center-negative, standard Boss style) for touring. Phantom power over MIDI still works. You cannot use Roland’s old PC editor
The latest update (v3.0.2+) includes a built-in "bootloader safety mode." Even if you flash a corrupted file, holding Switches 4 & 8 while powering on forces the unit into a recovery mode that accepts a stock Roland firmware re-flash. A: Marginally
