Released by CLOCKUP in 2011 (and later localized in English by MangaGamer), Euphoria is a landmark title in the "uttage" (extreme eroge) subgenre. On the surface, it is a brutal torture-porn game where the protagonist, Keisuke Takato, must subject six heroines to horrific trials in a white-domed facility. Beneath the surface, however, lies a complex, philosophical, and deeply psychological thriller about the nature of free will, sadism, masochism, and the meaning of "happiness."
