You are safe for 99% of gameplay. However, do not attempt to use a 100% save file while playing Online if the server has specific "Restrict to owned cars" settings (rare, but possible). Also, Steam Achievements will not automatically unlock. You will have the in-game garage full, but your Steam profile might still show 0/40 achievements.
